I compared these two polishes in the store today
They really are the closest nail polish dupes I’ve ever seen. I bought the NYC one for 99cents! (Rexall has all the NYC polishes for 99cents this week)
But it took me 3 coats to make it opaque. That’s always annoying. And one of my fingers already chipped (+I used Sally Hansen’s Mega Shine as a top coat!). Chipping is also annoying.
I highly recommend wiping your nails with alcohol or apple cider vinegar to remove any hidden oils/dirt that cause polish to lift/chip. Then apply a coat of Orly Bonder (available at Sally Beauty) or Creative Stickey Base and let it dry. It dries tacky and “grabs” your polish. Also, make sure to “wrap the tip” by coating the free edge of the nail with Bonder and polish. For a topcoat, I love Seche Vite or Poshe.
