A color most wouldn’t think to use in any room other than maybe for a little girl. I think the key to making pastels look chic and sophisticated is either deepening them, or choosing a tone that is a little grayed. The white frames with the white wainscoting (not Wayne’s Coating… Genevieve…) make this room so breathtaking. I’m in love!

DIY Beadboard wallpaper ceiling. Beadboard wallpaper is incredible, cheap (available at Home Depot and Lowe’s) and after it is painted, it looks identical to beadboard. You can apply it under a chair rail, on the ceiling, or on kitchen cabinets for a facelift. It covers ugly wood paneling too!

So light and airy.

I LOVE this room and those letters, but I hate when photos are color tweaked beyond recognition for design magazines/blogs. I have tat rug from Target and the blue is a subdued hue at best.

You could do so much with this concept! Maybe a calender of sorts with wooden numbers and letters to spell out the months, and red hearts to place on important days?
